Things Popup
Have you ever yearned to be a patient person and found it to be the most difficult task to achieve? Have you ever whispered a small prayer such as Lord, please help me through this? Have you every experienced issues that just pop up without warning? Unlike the word pop up in surfing the internet, we can't block a pop up. How we deal with these issues determines what level of emotional growth we're at. Well. I am a witness that if you've ever asked for patience you will begin to see different challenges popup all over the place. Every time you look around there will be things popping up and distracting you from your normal daily life. When we are taken out of our comfort zone we sometimes become irrational. For instance, on a particular day, I remember telling myself that I would go about the day being happy like the song, Don't Worry, Be Happy. I told myself that I would not let my emotions get the best of me and that I would sincerely try to let my light shine. Guess What? Upon leaving my bank, this guy pulls out of nowhere into my lane then honks his horn at me as if I did something wrong! All of a sudden my head felt wobbly, it felt like horns were literally growing up, over and curling under like the horns of a ram. I got downright furious, and was poking and pointing in the glass of a rolled up window, furiously yelling, as if this man could hear me. I had become a road rage person in just a few seconds. But something happened that made my horns slowly uncurl and sink back down like a flimsy piece of rubber. You know, I said to myself; my life was just spared, and here I am complaining. This could have been a very ugly accident. The truck was so close that if I tried I could reach out and touch it! So.the moral to my story is this: I believe that there is someone else in control. We have no control over things that just pop up. The challenges of life are what really add to our patience. Each time we are put to the test, if we sincerely judge ourselves and learn from that experience, we will truly gain more patience.
