The Baggy Setup
Have you noticed the young men who wear pants down to their knees? What is the belt really for when the pants are that low? It's really amazing the way a person's walk is altered by the way a pair of pants is worn. Just the other day I saw a guy walking down the street as if he was struggling to take the next step. What if something or someone got after him? It would be very awkward trying to run and hold up your pants at the same time. I would say don't get caught in a situation where you have to run for it because your chances of getting caught is greater if you have your pants down to your knees. If you try to jump a fence this really might be a problem. Wearing your pants down to your knees is truly a set up if you're prone to get in trouble a lot. I would think it is very uncomfortable. I really would like to know how that fashion statement got started. What ever happened to the neat look? Maybe the neat look is called the geek look in today's fashion, but I am impressed if I see a male wearing his pants around his waist with a belt. Now don't get me wrong, I can truly say that I will not treat a person different just because they wear their clothes a certain way. These are just my personal thoughts out loud. I have known and still do know some very intelligent and well mannered young men who wear their pants very low. Wearing baggy pants can be a set up in more ways than one. Unfortunately there are many people who will judge you harshly because of your baggy pants. For instance, I would not advise anyone to go on a job interview with baggy pants because they may not get the job. I guess much will depend what type of employment that person is seeking. Hopefully this fashion trend will soon fade out. I can't wait to see what's next!!!
