Although I have never read any firm statistics about how many online games exist, I would estimate that there are probably millions of them. I am not exaggerating when I say that. Between games to play online and games to download, there are an almost unlimited number of choices. Even if you are the kind of person who thinks you do not enjoy video games, you might find something out there that you like. There are problem solving games, strategy games, online role playing games, and of course the ever popular arcade games. You can even find classic games from your childhood ? or very close clones thereof ? on the Internet to play for free. It is just a matter of taking the time to look.
I am not sure of the massively multiplayer online role playing games are the most popular games to play online, but they are certainly the ones that suck up the most combined time. People who play these games are often fanatical about it. They spend hours and hours, creating whole virtual lives in these imaginary universes.

Still, my very favorite games to play on line are actually the arcade games. You see, I grew up in the video arcade.
